As we drift further into the 21st century, technological progress continues to barrel forward at an accelerating rate. In just a few decades, digital devices have filled our desks, bags and pockets, systematically influencing our decisions and most primal brain functions. In this film, experts across various fields guide us through the neurological, behavioral and societal implications of our current digital trajectory; ultimately revealing that what really makes us human could be at stake.

Bill Barminski (Makes Cardboard Shoes) - December, 2018
Bill Barminski is a self-taught artist based out of Los Angeles. He works with a variety of mediums, ranging from cardboard sculptures to paintings to digital projections. Over the years, he has collaborated with other successful artists, including Banksy, Gnarls Barkley and Death Cab for Cutie.

This summer, seven Daily Bruin Video journalists will document their experiences at different locations around the world. Barro Colorado Island is located in the Gatun Lake in the middle of the Panama Canal. The heavily protected island is the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI)'s primary site for research in ecology, animal behavior and evolution, serving as a temporary home for dozens of scientists.
